Healthy Dieting and Eating

Praise the Lord, everyone.

It has come to the attention of the Wellness Ministry that there are a number of people who are taking extreme measures when it comes to attempting to eat healthy and diet. I pray that through this health series, if you are one of the people doing this, you need to be aware that what you think is healthy is in fact not healthy at all. You run the risk of causing damage to your health as well as your body. We want to see you use wisdom in what you eat, and to see what the bible has to say to help you achieve the health goals you created.

First of all, we need to define what is a diet, because everyone may not have the same definition. Diet is defined as food and drink considered in terms of it’s qualities, composition, and affect on your health. It’s also defined as the limitations of the amount a person eats for weight reduction.

When you make a choice to eat healthy and lose weight, see your doctor first and foremost. You want to make sure any health issues you have are addressed so you can make wise choices while on the journey to a healthier life. Plus, you may have health issues you are unaware of, the time is now to get checked out before starting your journey.

God wants us to use wisdom in the journey you want to pursue. Make sure you make smart choices about your health. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, so let’s treat them as such. If you are serious about living a healthier lifestyle (soul, spirit, mind, and body), get off the couch, turn off the TV, and get off the computer and phone for a while. Too often we allow things to distract us from what God wants for us. Next thing you know, you’re starting to not feel well, you’re eating too much of the wrong things (foods with too much salt or sugar), and you start to see you’re not the size you used to be.

This series will speak about prescription weight loss drugs, diet and food supplements, what is a crash diet, and more! But most importantly, what does the Bible say about healthy eating. We want to see everyone living their best life.

Be blessed
